Rivers of stone – Mount Amos, Tasmania
76cmx76cm acrylics and gesso on cotton canvas framed
The stone hillside and powerful boulders of Mount Amos in Tasmania are streaked with lichen.
Looking across to Swansea, storm clouds are rolling in.
It is moving being in the presence of boulders. Somewhere I read a view recently that stone is alive, just at a different speed. I love that. We are less than the blink of an eye.
