“Mullee Mullee” is a property in the New England region of New South Wales in Australia. I made a number of paintings on this property and in this one sunlight washes out most of the background while detail is visible in the shadows.

The individual shapes of eucalyptus trees and the nuance in the texture and colour of their bark makes them irresistible to paint.
